Groups can be used to combine multiple species in the visualization. The text field on the right for each species is that species group string, If the group string is ‘G’ the species shows up normally, otherwise it must be in the form of ‘<letter><number>’
The number is the group and the letter is what the species is in the visualization. The possible letters are:
O: does not show up in the visualization
I: shows up normally in the visualization
S: shows up as the total number of individuals observed within the group
A: shows up the same as S but divided by the number of species in the group (the species with ‘A’ is not included in the division)
B: the number of species in the group we saw at least one of
Only one species within any given group may be A, S, or B
Within a group the species with A, S, or B should usually be one added with the ‘Add new group’ button. This adds a new ‘species’ with all the data points as 0.
